Why does my store not have a Santa Experience this year?
Our goal is to provide the best experience for all of our guests. To deliver this specific type of interactive experience safely and comfortably, a unique shop layout with suitable space is required. Regrettably, this means that not all John Lewis shops are able to host the Santa Tea Parties this year.
Last year, you had a Grotto in some shops, why are these not available this year?
Every year, John Lewis looks closely at the feedback from guests to figure out how to make the festive season even more magical, comfortable and seamless. Based on what families have shared in previous years, the decision was made to focus on Santa Tea Parties for this festive season.

Will my child receive a gift?
Yes, all children will receive an age appropriate Plus Plus gift.
When do the Santa’s Tea Party sessions take place?
Santa’s Tea Parties will take place throughout December, with days and times varying by store. Please see the booking page for more details.
Will my child get to meet Santa?
Yes, each family group will have some individual time with Santa.
Who are Eskimo Jo Events?
John Lewis is working in partnership with Eskimo Jo Events to deliver their Santa experiences. You may see their company name when booking an event, or in any emails you receive.
What age is the experience suitable for?
It's suitable for children aged 18 months to 10 years, but babies and children of all ages are welcome.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets to Santa's Tea Party cost £25 per child (plus a £2.50 booking fee) and £8 per adult (plus an 80p booking fee). This includes a drink and snack for everyone attending.
Why do I have to pay a booking fee?
The booking fee covers the cost of issuing your tickets and the customer service.
Is there a charge for babies under 12 months?
If you’re bringing a baby on their own or want your baby to receive a gift, you'll need to pay the full child price. Babies under 12 months who are accompanying a paying sibling and don't need a gift are welcome free of charge and don't require a ticket.
Do you offer carers tickets?
We offer registered carers one free ticket for each paying child who requires care. Please make your booking online for the date and time required. Once you receive your booking confirmation please email the customer service team at tickets@eskimojoevents.co.uk stating your booking reference number and attach your proof of entitlement eg. Disability Living Allowance (DLA). Once this has been reviewed we will process a refund for the adult ticket on your booking.
Can I book a special needs group and school party visits?
Please email tickets@eskimojoevents.co.uk to discuss your visit and any special requirements.
Why should I book in advance?
We recommend that you pre-book tickets to avoid disappointment. Availability isn't guaranteed, and tickets sell quickly.
Will I receive a ticket once I've booked?
Yes, you’ll be emailed an e-ticket. You can either print your ticket or show it on your mobile phone at the entrance to the experience.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to refund tickets. If the event can't go ahead, you'll receive a refund. To protect you if you can no longer attend the event, we offer a ticket refund promise policy as an additional option when purchasing your tickets.
Can we change the time or date of our booking?
In exceptional circumstances, we can change the time or date to another available slot. If an alternative slot isn't available, unfortunately, we won't be able to offer a refund.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your pre-booked time slot. We may not be able to admit latecomers into the experience as we can't delay session start times or interrupt the experience once it's begun.
Where are the Tea Parties being held?
Santa’s Tea Party is being held in The Place to Eat or Platter depending on location.
Is there somewhere to leave buggies?
Yes, there's an area to park your buggy, but please be aware that buggies are left at your own risk.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, there's full disability access throughout the experience.
Are there toilets and baby change facilities?
Yes, all our stores have parent rooms with baby changing facilities.
Can we bring food and drink into the experience?
We kindly ask that you don’t bring your own food and drink to Santa's Tea Party. Each paying guest will receive a drink and a snack. If you have special dietary requirements, please email our customer service team at tickets@eskimojoevents.co.uk and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Can we take our own photographs with Santa?
Yes, we’re happy for you to take your own photographs when meeting Santa.
Have all staff been security checked according to government guidelines?
Yes, all staff are checked to the relevant level for this experience.
What is Plus-Plus?
Plus-Plus toys are proudly designed and produced in Denmark. All Plus-Plus pieces are made from recyclable plastic, free from BPA & phthalates and are produced in a factory which runs on 100% wind energy. Plus-Plus is easy to clean and can be washed in the washing machine or dishwasher
Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed to join Santa’s Tea Party. However, guide dogs are welcome.
