How long can I skate for?
Each sessions lasts 45 minutes. They all start on the hour.

When should I arrive in time for my sessions?
You should allow at least 15 minutes before the start of your sessions in order to collect your skates.

What should I wear?
It is outdoors and real ice so please ensure you dress appropriately. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that isn’t too tight or too baggy, so that your movement isn’t restricted on the ice. Wear a few layers so you can add or remove clothing when you need to, as it can be a little chilly on the ice to start, but once you start whizzing around the rink you’ll soon warm up. Please note socks must be worn when using the skates. Gloves are also recommended.

What is the minimum age to skate?
There is no age limit, but please consider we do not have a separate area for children.  For Health & Safety reasons we recommend children of 3 years and above are suitable to participate in our Ice skating sessions. For these younger children we have special ‘Bob-Skates' which fit directly over the child’s normal shoes. We would advise that you visit us in store prior to booking to test the fit of the skates on your child. Should you wish for younger children to participate then this will be at parents own risk. We also have skating aids available to hire – perfect for beginners to hold while skating! Please note that we only have a limited number of these available per session, so it is advisable to pre-book these online when you purchase your tickets to avoid disappointment. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Will there be food and drink available?
Yes, we have a café located adjacent to the rink which will serve hot food and drinks throughout the opening hours of the Ice Rink. Alternatively, there are Restaurants available on the top floor of our Garden Centre, as well as the top floor of the Downtown Superstore.

Are there parking facilities?

Can I take photographs on the rink?
If you are spectating then you can take photographs of your friends and family, but for safety reasons you cannot take pictures whilst on the ice. A member of staff will be available on site to assist you should you wish to have photos taken on the ice.

Is the Ice Skate hire included in the ticket price?
Yes, the Ice Skate hire is included in the ticket price.

Why should I book in advance?
We recommend that you pre-book your tickets to avoid disappointment. We anticipate there will be tickets available for some sessions on the day, but we cannot guarantee availability. A booking fee applies for all tickets purchased online.

If I choose not to book in advance, how can I obtain a ticket?
If you choose not to book in advance, it may be possible to purchase a ticket on the day at the box office located in Food Hall however availability is not guaranteed.
