When will Father Christmas be in his grotto? From 17 November 2020. 

When do Father Christmas and his elves finish for the year? The last session will be his experience closes at 5pm on Christmas Eve 24th December. The final session will start at 4.30pm

How much will my visit cost? Your visit to Father Christmas will cost £10.50 per child (including a present) and £5.50 per adult. Ticket prices include applicable booking fees per ticket.

Will I receive a refund if I cannot attend the experience due to illness or self isolation?  Tickets to this event are not refundable however we will try to offer an alternative date - subject to availability

Will there be an actual Reindeer inside the experience? No, we are using actors to provide a theatrical interpretation of a story about a reindeer called Norbert who is presented in the form of a professional puppet.

What age is the experience suitable for? It is suitable for children from 18 months.

What does the Reindeer food element include? Each child will be provided with a sanitised scoop and gift bag to collect their reindeer food. They will move through the area from section to section in a structured format ensuring correct social distancing between family groups, collecting reindeer food as they move through.

Is there a charge for babies in arms under 12 months old? No babies in arms, accompanying a sibling will not be charged, but they will not receive a gift. If you are bringing a baby on their own, then the price of a child ticket will apply.

Are there any dedicated inclusive sessions available? Yes Inclusive Relaxed Sessions are available for any families with special requirements. The sessions are adapted in a variety of ways; including reducing noise and lighting effects.  If you are unable to attend one of these sessions, then we recommend that weekdays and earlier times at the weekend may be quieter in the open sessions.  Please ensure that you complete the special requirements section and we will try to accommodate you wherever possible. Please note, it would not be possible to reduce noise and lighting effects in open sessions and the experience may well be quite busy at peak times.

Why should I book in advance? We recommend that you pre-book your tickets to avoid disappointment. There may be tickets available for some slots on the day, but these will be sold on a first come, first served basis and demand will be high at peak times. 

If I choose not to book in advance, how can I obtain a ticket? If you choose not to book in advance, it may be possible to purchase a ticket on the day at the grotto box office however, availability is not guaranteed. 

Will I receive a ticket once I have booked? Yes, you will be emailed an e-ticket if you book in advance via the box office or website. You can either print your ticket or show it on your mobile phone at the entrance to the grotto. For tickets booked at the box office for the same day you will receive a printed ticket.


Can I book a special requirement group and school party visits? We welcome pre-booked parties. Please email our call centre at tickets@eskimojoevents.co.uk to discuss your visit and special requirements. 

When should I arrive? We recommend that you arrive at the event approximately 5 minutes before your pre-booked time slot. We recommend that you do not come any earlier than 5 minutes before your time slot as there will not be capacity to queue, due to additional Covid-19 controls in place to keep all visitors safe.

Is there somewhere to put buggies? There is an area to park your buggy inside the grotto.

Is there access for wheelchairs? There is full disability access throughout the grotto experience.

Can we bring food and drink into the Experience? No. Please refrain from eating and drinking throughout the experience.

Can we take our own photographs with Father Christmas? No, but your magical moment will be captured with professional photography and a memento will be available to purchase including glitter globes, frames and Christmas baubles at the end of the experience.

Will there be additional Covid-19 measures in place?

Yes. The safety of our visitors, Elves and Father Christmas is top priority.

There will be hand sanitising points situated throughout the experience.

Adults and children over the age of 11 must wear a face covering (unless they are exempt.)

You must only visit the experience with members of your household or bubble.

Tickets will be sold in bubbles of up to five people, with a maximum of two adults in any group.

If you do wish to book for a sixth person in your group, please contact the customer helpline to arrange.

The experience has been arranged to be safe and socially distant from other groups; the capacity of the area has been assessed to allow five groups per session.

Each child will be provided with a sanitised scoop and gift bag to collect their reindeer food. Children won’t be able to sit on Father Christmas’ knee, but he is looking forward to welcoming all the children from a safe 2 metre distance and hearing about their Christmas wishes.
